Runestad congratulates Milford on its 150th anniversary

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Jim Runestad on Monday presented a special tribute to the Milford Village Council congratulating the village on its 150th anniversary.

“The village of Milford has demonstrated a commitment to excellence throughout its history — inspiring people to achieve great things and strengthening the community through a spirit of cooperation,” said Runestad, R-White Lake. “On behalf of the entire state, I want to congratulate Milford on its 150th anniversary, applaud the village and all its people for everything they have accomplished, and wish the community continued success in the next 150 years.”

Runestad presented the council with a tribute that highlighted many of the factors that continue to make Milford an attractive place to live and work, such as its six parks, outstanding schools, historic downtown, and small-town charm.

The tribute was signed by Runestad; Rep. Matt Maddock, R-Milford; and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
